What we’re calling for
Our current priorities at Syracuse
In the face of increasing administrative overreach and national threats to higher education, SU AAUP is pushing for meaningful protections at SU.
Faculty free speech: oppose punishment of faculty and students for social media speech without due process
Shared governance: ensure faculty have a meaningful role in the Provost search and major institutional decisions
Protest rights: oppose campus posting and protest policies enacted without faculty input
Curriculum control: protect faculty authority over curriculum from administrative interference
