ICE/DHS Know Your Rights Session

know your rights

SU-AAUP is sponsoring an info session on how to deal with ICE/DHS in the current context.  If you are keeping up with the news, you know that ICE/DHS is already participating in Trump’s assault on universities, starting with Columbia, very close to home.  Knowing your rights is both urgent and an important response to the current climate of fear.  We CAN respond positively by knowing our rights!

In collaboration with the New York Immigration Coalition, SU-AAUP is hosting this Know Your Rights session that will give pointers about how to respond if ICE/DHS comes to your office, classroom or other site, and answer your questions.

The session will take place on MONDAY March 17 from 6:00-7:30pm on Zoom. Here’s the link to register for the event: https://syracuseuniversity.zoom.us/meeting/register/R5Db2zs_RAuK6ZV78I1YsQ

For those of you unable to attend on the 17th, there will be a second session offered IN PERSON on the following evening, March 18, 6:30-8pm, in Maxwell 111.  This second session is sponsored by the Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity and the South American and Latine Student Association.
